If you ever wondered how a comic book or graphic novel is made -- The PROCESS zine is the answer! It shows you exactly how I made the Street Angel Gang graphic novel. Whether you're an aspiring cartoonist or just curious to peak behind the creative curtain, the PROCESS zine is for you.
SCRIPT -- the script book reproduces the Street Angel Gang script that I carried around while making this comic. I would draw my first draft directly on the script, sometimes I'd draw the second, third, fourth, and fifth drafts there too! These quick, little drawings are known as thumbnails, page layouts, or roughs.
PENCILS -- after the thumbnails, I drew each page in pencils. This comic-book-sized volume reproduces those pencilled pages. Drawings are refined at this stage and rough lettering is added to finalize the layouts.
