Street Angel

Posted on Aug 22, 2011 in Comic Gallery

Orphan of the streets and skateboarding daughter of justice, Jesse Sanchez fights a never ending battle against the forces of evil, nepotism, ninjas, and hunger as Street Angel!

In 2009, the original artwork from Street Angel #4, Down in the Dumpster Blues, was acquired by the Library of Congress as part of the Prints & Photographs Divisions. The issue “features a close look at homelessness, in this case a teenager sleeping in an abandoned building who survives because she knows how to dumpster dive, but must hide this basic fact of her life from her schoolmates.”

In 2009, Director Lucas Testro and Producer Adam Bishop adapted Street Angel #1 as a student film out of Australia’s leading film school, AFTRS – the Australian Film Television and Radio School.
